Michael Kimball, Acting President & CEO
As acting President & CEO, Mike is responsible for Diskriter’s business development, marketing and strategic direction. He has held numerous executive positions in healthcare and has more than 20 years of experience in providing integrated clinical documentation solutions and services to hospitals, physician group practices, IDNs and clinics.
Mike has established a business model that promotes client satisfaction, client retention, client relations and partner referrals. He has been responsible for and involved with more than 225 implementations with some of the largest health systems in the country.
A goal-oriented professional with integrity and significant, progressive experience in building companies through his expertise in business development and marketing, Mike has developed executive level relationships in many of the largest Health Systems in the country by providing custom IT solutions to maximize client success.
Trevor Schnupp, Director, Information Technology & Security Officer
Employed at Diskriter since 1996, Trevor has risen through a variety of technology-related capacities to the Director of Information Technology, where he is responsible for overseeing all Technology aspects and Client Support Services for the HIM Service Division. This includes Transcription / HIM Outsourcing, SmartSourcing, and Time Sharing clients, as well as, managing Diskriter’s Voice / Text and Information Technology Services Divisions.
Trevor also has hands-on product knowledge integrating and working with Softmed, Meditech, Epic, Cerner, Siemens, Dolbey, MedQuist / Lanier, Dictaphone, RTAS, Interfix, Epic, and eClinicalWorks
Christine Parfitt, RHIT, Executive Director, HIM Services and Privacy Officer
In her role as Executive Director of HIM Services, Chris oversees all contracted HIM coding and auditing business, client relations and personnel. As privacy officer, she oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance and adherence to Diskriter policies and procedures that cover the privacy of, and access to, patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws, HIPAA, ARRA, HITECH and internal privacy policies.
Chris, an AHIMA-approved ICD-10 trainer, has more than 25 years of experience in Health Information Management. She has worked as an HIM manager, a coding specialist, a coding supervisor and an operations manager for medical records solutions company.
Chris is an active member of Pennsylvania Health Information Management Association. In 2010-2011 she served as the organization's president, while also serving on PHIMA's Publications Committee and as co-chair of PHIMA's Coding Roundtable . For the past two years, she has also served on AHIMA's House of Delegates for HIM Higher Education Workforce.
Kelley Iezzi, Executive Director, HIM Operations
Kelley Iezzi supervises, leads and assists Diskriter's transcription team members to ensure the timely delivery of quality transcribed documents to assigned accounts. A liaison for Diskriter's global operations team, she also oversees new business implementations and project management with an emphasis on providing superior customer service.
Kelley comes to Diskriter with more than 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She began her career as a medical assistant and a medical transcriptionist before becoming a Quality Auditor.
Patricia Trela, RHIA, Director, HIM and Rehabilitation Services
Pat Trela has over 25 years of management and consulting experience in the healthcare industry. Pat spearheaded the initial start-up for three large rehabilitation hospitals including design, development, and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes for Health Information Management. She was a member of the original 11-member task force that developed the Functional Independence Measure (FIMTM) and the minimum data set for the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSmr), an integral part of Medicare’s prospective payment system for Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRF).
Since 2001, Pat has conducted more than 30 AHIMA / HIMA educational seminars surrounding rehabilitation coding, compliance, documentation, and reimbursement. In 2008 Ms. Trela authored Chapter 10, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities, in Bowman, S., Health Information Management Compliance, Guidelines for Preventing Fraud and Abuse, 4th ed. Chicago: AHIMA
In addition, she is the Facilitator for the Coding Physical Medicine Rehabilitation Community of Practice and affiliated with the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, as well as the American Health Information Association (AHIMA), and the Massachusetts Health Information Management Association (MHIMA).
Pat has recently been named as a member of the editorial board for ICD-10Monitor.com, an online news and information source created to help healthcare providers make informed decisions as they transition to ICD-10. Pat contributes articles to the website, and has participated as a guest on ICD-10 Monitor's weekly podcast, Talk Ten Tuesday.
