Assembler - Mechanical
Verify inbound and outbound
Disassembles, cleans, sand blasts, paints, and assists with all pipeline valves activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; Other duties may be assigned:
Capable of working in a shop environment and assisting with any and all valve repair/refurbishment activities.
Uses appropriate tools (e.g., gauges, brushes, impact wrenches, torque wrench, pipe wrench) to assist in
the thorough inspections and repairs of pipeline valves.
Assist with the inspection, repair and testing of valve assemblies.
Execute general shop maintenance: storage and equipment cleanup, shipping/receiving.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies :
Oral Communication – Listens and gets clarification.
Responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work related injuries, near misses, equipment
damage and unsafe acts as soon as practicable to supervisor or senior technician.
Assist with tear down and troubleshooting of customer owned property for inspection, repair, reassembly and testing
based on customer communications.
Assist with assembling, testing and painting of new or used valves.
Strong mechanical aptitude/experience.
Ability both in a team environment and alone with minimal supervision.
Ability to use basic hand tools safely.
Ability to read and write clearly.
Ability to read, understand and follow technical specifications for the assembly, tear-down and repair of valves and
Welding/Machining experience not required but would be a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively with visitors and other employees.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
